Kids Can were featured in the Miami Herald’s Mom’s Miami section of the newspaper as well as on the MomsMiami.com website this weekend. The article talked about the upcoming Kids Can fundraiser on December 8th to help homeless families this holiday season. Participants will create Houses for Change, house-shaped collection boxes for coins to be donated to two nonprofits organizations that help homeless families.

Read more...This past week was a very important milestone for Kids Can. The first two scholarship donations, funds which were raised from our Young At Art Gala, were presented this week.
Logan Bratter delivered the first one – a $1,000.00 scholarship to the University School’s Epstein Center for the Arts. This Kids Can donation will be used for music lessons for two students who otherwise could not have afforded to take lessons.
Miles Mittentag delievered the second one which was a $1,025.00 donation to Kids In Distress (KID) which will be used to support their amazing organization.

The Families with Young Children Division of the Jewish Federation of Broward is hosting its Annual Women’s Philanthropy Chanukah Party at the Daniel Cantor Senior Center. We want to add our special Kids Can touch to the gifts that will be given out at the party, but we need YOUR help! We need 100 Chanukah coloring pages by Thanksgivukah!
